Ford has done it again with its new King Ranch Max and Platinum Max editions: both in a class of their own, they have a similar price tag. The return of the King Ranch Max is listed at $75,335 and the Platinum Max at $76,160. They both have a different style but it could still be hard to choose: good thing we're here to help.
The King Ranch Max tells it all in its name. This fancy,Texas-themed model has a trim of its own with its Del Rio saddle brown leather, two-toned paint, and extra badges. It features stone gray paint on the grill mesh, lower bumpers, mirror caps, power-deploying running boards, trailer hitch cover, and roof-rack side rails. It sets it apart no matter what the paint color you choose. The “Running W” is branded on every seatback, floor mat, and on the center console. It’s also put on every wheel center cap, fenders and tailgate. It includes many luxury standard features that set it apart from lower models.
Top key features of Ford’s range topping model, the Platinum Max, include a 3.5L EcoBoost Engine, Panoramic Vista Roof, and Multicontour Seats with Active Motion and plenty of leather. It also includes an upgraded interior and exterior trim. It comes standard with all of the optional features of the lower models plus much more.
Standard features and Review
Both the King Ranch Max and the Platinum Max are worthy of anyone’s attention -- they are almost identical under the hood, have all the best safety and security features, and are loaded with extras. The difference is in the details. If you’re a fan of soft leather and Texas-themed features, the King Ranch Max is for you. If you prefer a sleeker look and a cargo package, the Platinum Max is your winner. Either way, you can’t go wrong.
