Ford’s fully redesigned 2020 Escape and the 2020 Subaru Forester are similar in their designs and look, but the Ford Escape satisfies all your needs. Come take a look at Brighton Ford and you will see for yourself.
Design and Style
Escape’s sporty new redesigned 2020 SUV offers buyers roomy interior and cargo space. With seating for five, this stylish new compact SUV is easy to drive and packed with the latest features. The sliding second-row seats open up to an enormous 40.7 inches of legroom. When rear seats are folded, the maximum cargo space yields 65.4 cubic feet. For a two-row crossover, that’s a useful amount of room, and makes it easier to get in and out of the vehicle. The Ford comes in four trims: S, SE, SEL, and Titanium.
The 2020 Subaru Forester returns almost unchanged since the 2019 next generation was introduced. The Forester is also a two-row, five seat SUV offering cloth seats and manual seat adjustments. Though the Forester boasts plenty of interior room, the Escape offers a bit more room for passengers in the back seat, with Escape’s sliding second row seats. The Forester fairs well with its cargo space. Its rear seats fold in a 60/40 split making 76.1 cubic feet of cargo space. It comes in five trim levels: Base, Premium, Sport, Limited, and Touring.
Power, Handling, and Gas
The Escape handles well for a compact SUV. It offers three different powertrain options ranging from sporty performance to a new efficient hybrid, with improved power and acceleration to move your vehicle well. Its sporty performance and handling make it seem like you are driving a smaller car. The 180-horsepower three-cylinder EcoBoost turbocharged engine and 250-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine provides plenty of power for everyday driving. It earns respectable ratings of 27/33 mpg on the city and highway. When properly equipped, the Escape can tow up to 3,500 pounds. Not bad for a compact SUV.
The Forester’s downside is its underpowered engine. The standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 182-horsepower and a continuously variable automatic transmission is the only option available on all models. Both the Escape and the Forrester offer great fuel economy, but the Forester is sluggish with lackluster acceleration from stopping and pulling ahead of other vehicles. The Forester offers 26/33 mpg in the city and highway. Towing is not what the Forester does. When properly equipped it can tow up to 1,500 pounds.
