Power
The 2022 Ford Bronco’s standard engine is a turbocharged 2.3-liter 4-cylinder that produces 300 horsepower or an optional 2.7-liter V-6 with 330 hp. Both are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission or a 7-speed manual is optional for the smaller engine. Both also offer 4WD, an independent front suspension and electronic front and rear locking differentials. The automatic transmission option will get about 20 mpg in the city and 22 on the highway but the V-6 drops both down to 17 mpg. This strong off-roader also has a soft suspension with precise steering and tow ratings of up to 3500 pounds.
The 2022 Land Rover on the other hand, has three engines to choose from. The first, called the P400, is a 3-liter inline-six that produces 395 horsepower and gets 18/26 mpg. The second is a 5-liter V-8 with 557 hp and the last, called the P530 is a 4.4-liter V-8 that makes 523 hp and 16/21 mpg. There is rumor of a hybrid powertrain to join the lineup for 2023. The 2022 Land Rover can tow 8,200 pounds and offers an adjustable air suspension, too.
