Once again, the Expedition offers six trim levels (XL STX, XLT, Limited, Timberline, King Ranch, and Platinum) and your choice of interior luxury and performance upgrades. All but the XL STX and Timberline trim models are available with the long-wheelbase MAX body style. Choosing the trim model that’s right for you comes down to what you want in a daily driver!
XL STX
The XLT STX is the only two-row Expedition. It’s perfect for families who travel with a lot of gear, because it leaves you 57.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. The base model gives you the lowest possible price on a new Expedition, and it’s also handsomely equipped with comfort and convenience features. For example, this model includes the SYNC 4 infotainment system, a 12-inch central touchscreen, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite of safety aids, including blind-spot monitoring.
XLT/XLT MAX
Compared to the base Expedition, the XLT adds a little extra comfort and convenience, with features like tri-zone automatic climate controls and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
Limited/Limited MAX
For a little more luxury, check out the Limited. Its panoramic sunroof and 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system will have you traveling in style. And convenience upgrades, such as rain-sensing windshield wipers and hands-free liftgate, make your daily drive a breeze.
Timberline
The off-road-ready Expedition is the right choice for families who love an adventure. These SUVs come standard with everything you need to hit the trail, including all-terrain tires and an off-road-tuned suspension.
King Ranch/King Ranch MAX
The King Ranch is also a luxury option, but it has its own unique Western style, with Del Rio leather upholstery and a two-tone exterior. Inside, you get the royal treatment, with a 22-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, a surround-view camera, and more.
Platinum/Platinum MAX
This luxury model is equipped a lot like the King Ranch, but it has its own unique style, with wood and leather interior trim and upgraded leather upholstery. It’s also the only Expedition equipped with Ford’s hands-free driving system, BlueCruise.
