Both the 2020 Ford Expedition and the Chevy Tahoe will exceed your expectations with their quiet, comfortable cruises. These SUVs also deliver a slice of the good life, offering up options like luxurious leather upholstery and seat heaters.

The Tahoe is comfortable in general, but, compared to the Expedition, there are a couple of drawbacks. It doesn’t have the same amount of space in the third row, making it a row best left for younger children. And, though the suspension does a great job of smoothing out big bumps, the cabin can feel jittery as you cruise over slightly broken pavement.

However, with the Tahoe, you have to pay extra for those advanced safety systems by adding the optional Enhanced Driver Alert system.

Max Towing: 2020 Ford Expedition

Want to move the biggest possible boat? You need the 2020 Expedition. This full-size SUV tows more than other models in this segment. Properly equipped, it bests competitors with its 9,200-pound max tow rating. The Tahoe stops at 8,400 pounds, which, we admit, is pretty robust—just not as robust as the Expedition.

We have to admit that the Tahoe is strong, capable, and cushy—all the things you want in a three-row SUV. In the end, though, the 2020 Ford Expedition rolls over the competition. Ford’s SUV is stronger, more capable, and far cushier than its Chevy counterpart.
